Since 2004, we have hosted annual charity events with celebrities to support children suffering from leukemia and cancer. Every year, LG TeleCom selects an influential figure in five categories each - politics, IT, culture/art, entertainment, and
sports - through an Internet poll and donates the service revenue accrued from those five people to Korea Association for
Children with Leukemia and Cancer. The results were significant: KRW 16.77 million, 16.99 million, and 16.98 million were
donated in 2004, 2005, and 2006 respectively.
In 2006, Inje was hit by a severe snowstorm, and Gwangju by a typhoon of unprecedented scale, suffering significant damages. LG TeleCom also extended the grace period for overdue payments by one month.
